Brexit “Brain Drain” a Grave Threat to UK Universities

International staff members at the UK’s universities are fearing for their futures as the Brexit process starts to gain traction. About one in six academic staff members at universities in the UK comes from abroad. A recent report from MPs has called for those staff members’ right to stay and work to be guaranteed amid talk of a Brexit “brain drain”. The following infographic is based on data from the Royal Society and it shows just how international the UK’s academic workforce is.
